Apex
The first proper camping weekend of the season and Apex was seriously the pinnacle of offroad camping.
We arrived mid afternoon at camp and setup straight away so we could enjoy the afternoon activities. Nestled at the base of some of the best driving dunes in the region we had the most spectacular views of red, golden and purple coloured sand giants.
After pitching our tents and off loading our cars a treasure hut game had been put together as a supprise for the campers, with riddles, puzzles and challenges this was one of the highlights of the weekend. In the end we had a winning team and some exceptional prizes to give away. Safe to say the game was a tremendous success and set the mood for a great evening ahead.
As the the sun set the capers all enjoyed excellent cuisine from wagusteaks and smoked tomahawks to roasted vegetables and shish tawook, there was something for every palette.
The next morning after some freshly brewed coffee and pancakes it was time to ride these massive beasts. These dunes are not for the faint of heart so full throttle and commitment is a given to navigate the giant bowls and slopes. We spent a good few hours really pushing our cars and indulging our selves in pure offroading bliss.
As mid day drew closer it was te to pack up, bid fairwell till the next time and head home. A big thank you to Javier, you cooking skills can put me to shame. Preggy, Hussam, Johann, Ray, Victor and family thank you great company and some tremendous driving fun. See you all on the next one.

I was daydreaming about this weekend since the beginning of the week, and as always the camp did not disappoint, lots of fun, great company, mesmerizing area, good food and massive adrenaline rush, what else could an offroader dream of!
The drive was adrenaline fueled not only petrol fueled, I had so much fun trying my new setup that feels like a totally different car, but still enjoyed every second of it (even when my car was having a little technical naps).
Thanks Chef Marc for putting this all together, Javier for some another level steaks! Preggy, Zoubier, Johann, Vic, Malcolm and Ray for the amazing camaraderie.
This was fantastic weekend π and your Jeeps new gears make so potent. Think we are all day dreaming of going back
