Altered Reality
A very early 6am start to aviod the heat worked, the mercury was nice and cool.
We had a large convoy this morning so got stuck right into it with some technical warm up. Turns our to be a bit to technical so early in the morning with a few second tries. With a quick track ajustment we soon reached more open dunes.
This is when the pace picked up and the side slopeing got really fun. We did have a few more second tries and even a pop with a snatch recovery but quicly delt with buy some good sweeping from Zoubeir.
After a nice break with some beautiful camels around us we continued to even larger dunes. Convoy pace was explosive and some good driving and diciplines for most of the drive.
After visiting the Gahf forest we finished the last 45 min with some epic long side slope toward the exit.
Great drive today all and thank you Malcolm for 2nd lead and Zoubeir for some excellent sweeping.

It was a beautiful and breezy morning. The starting point was picturesque. We need more of those rather than the usual places 😉
The warm up was in a tricky area. However, with our discipline and team work, it was navigated successfully. This trip had a mix of everything which I really enjoyed!
Looking forward to the next one. And hope that all who turned up keep driving through the summer!
