Ab Initio 7th Generation
In behalf of Desert Fellas I’d like to welcome our new fellas who joined us for drive this morning.
As usual we did lot’s of talking, answering many questions followed by the drive.
Because of “operational reasons” we were forced to join prospect and junior level in same convoy leaded by Marko, and we did offroader level drive leaded by Tiago (report is bellow).
Next time we are starting with direct feedbacks about driving and performance. Stay tuned.
Prospect+Junior level (Marko)
On this prospect and junior level drive we also had sweeper training.
Drive was nice and group was made of people who were driving for a very first time together. When we take this into consideration drive was very decent for a very first time. There was several mistakes but we meet each other and we are ready to drive according to our level in a future and share some feedback about that.
During the trip I shared feedback to all members in convoy including trip support crew. There is lot of space for a personal improvement and I’m sure if there is good will we will make it happen.
Off-roader level (Tiago – Redbaron)
We started with a safety briefing together with junior and prospect levels. Before driving we decided on convoy order and after a radio check we moved to the warm up area with some small slopes and some cresting. Later, we moved to a more technical area with straight cresting and some ditches as well to reach the higher slopes where we found very nice crests.
A few second tries along the way and only two stucks that where self recovered by the drivers.
The drive was very dynamic and the pace was continuous, I’m very happy with everybody’s performance.
We had a few issues with convoy discipline which is understandable with so many new Fellas coming from many different clubs. It’s important that irrespective of which club you drove before you follow what was said in the briefing. But nothing that we can’t fix with a couple more drives 😃.
The trip was finished at 10 AM sharp at the meeting point. We drove till last exit to re inflate and have drinks at the convenience shop.
It was a pleasure driving with you all and please share your feed back on this trip.
See you next weekend on the sand. Obrigado!

Another nice morning in the sand in the company of good Fellas friends!!! Can Wait for the next one!
I have to say that it was an excellent experience, sharing with existing members and new members, welcome. The morning was fabulous for the ride; as always thanks for such a good opportunity to share with all of you the big family of DesertFellas
Another weekend of awesomeness with the fellaship of new & old mates. The off-road drive this time was fast paced only convoy discipline needs to be tweaked in future. At times i did fly over the dunes as the sun blocked my vision on the crests but nevertheless i didn’t do anything stupid and had many second tries. Accepting & learning from my own mistakes is the only way forward to become a true dune basher. See you all soon
Happy to have joined the group and lucky the intro ride was already d week after I heard about DF 🙂 I like to approach and the fact you receive feedback on the spot what can be done better. Looking forward to more milage with DF. big thanks to Marko and team
