Cruzin
The plan was a lazy loop from big red to pink rock and back. So far, that was the plan, but dense fog on the way towards the meeting point gave the impression that it will become interesting.
Meeting at the deflation point, we got ready and set off after the safety briefing. We skipped big red at the beginning, to give our new graduates a warmup instead of a wake up shock 🙂
From here we followed the lines, cross in the 10ish kilometers from BR towards Pink rock. Many climbs, turns and twists made the drive interesting and really showed that after basic training our graduates keep the level. This was great to see and how well they kept up in between other seasoned drivers.
After a tricky section we made a break, refresh the mind and some banther. The fog used that moment to sneak up on us and we found ourselves on top of a dune in dense fog. My thought was great, practice for night driving with little visibility.
From here we stepped on it to break free of the fog and move towards pink rock, doing the climbs on the west side before crossing towards Chef’s bowl and having another break.
The way back to big red was fast, twisted and the occasional stuck on the climbs. Concentration was weaning, so we adjusted the level made a quick run towards the last obstacle.
Before leaving, we had to use the last 15 min of playtime at big red and climbing the big sloped.
While inflating, a sand rail gave a short show, pushing 1500HP up big red with a big roar.
Big thanks for Nial as 2nd lead and Anders for sweeping.
Hope to see you soon on the sand
