Feel Good
Another day, another drive and a small convoy is usually a lot of fun.
Warmup was brisk, fast-paced, and usually what I would push towards the end of a trip, but I wanted to check that everyone was awake. All over this majestic dune with all the ups and downs, twists and turns was a great way to start the weekend.
Our first break was early to recover from warmup, then quickly moving towards pink rock, enjoying all the dunes along the way. Great fun, but more and more greenery made it harder to find good lines.
Closer to pink rock we used the both faces of this landmark, sometimes faster climbs, sometimes more technical.
From here we aimed to make the way back quick towards BR, but a popout changed our plans. This was an interesting one, first fixing the popout, then changing the full tire as the valve needed replacement.
Once fixed, we had 3.5 km to the exit and 30 min to go, which meant one more round covering big red. Our convoy seemed to have picked up a lost puppy in form of a red jeep that followed us in the last 30 min. We aimed to push it once more in the same way we started the day on this majestic dune before heading out on time.
Thanks Javier for providing a 2nd lead and sweeper combo package and Bal for keeping up with everything we could push you at today.
See you soon on the sand.
