Beginning at the End
Everyone was on time today and that’s how it should be…. great standard and respect for the other Fellas, thank you!
We met at the usual exit point today, after safety brief convoy was set. Sid 2nd lead, Dela, Michael, Kiko, Eiske, Salah our sweeper and Marko as Marshall.
After radio check we made our way to the ROCK for some lessons on big hill climbs. With some fairly new Jr’s onboard we started low (yes in low range gears too) and finished high. After some epic desert beauty a few second tries and completing higher Jr challenges we made our way through technical area, finally exiting on exact time 9am to enjoy some fresh coconuts together.

You drove well today and it’s what we expect now everytime. I think your coms on the radio still needs work, but the last stretch was good. We will work on this more together.

You started “bumpy” but by the end you were doing all the challenges well, I saw a massive improvement over 3 hours from you and respect too you. Listing and putting into practice is what we love to see. Just join every possible trip with Desert Fellas and you will be mastering your technique in no time. Thanks Cecilia for joining as a passenger today, and hope to see you at the next Ab Initio.

Once you got the fealling for low range you were a hero today! After last time some of these challenges in this area was just not happening for us, but today you conquered all first try. Excellent job!
Kiko
You did fantastic, especially that big hill climbs was something totally foreign to you at 6am, you have a very good feal for your Jeep, we just need to work a bit more on controlling the decent and you will master it in no time.

Great to have you on a trip with us after a long time, don’t be a stranger you are always welcome. Hope you and Salah had fun playing on some of those crests.😉

Not much to do today, your help with the few second tries and self recovery was excellent thank you! Driving wise, you know what you are doing, perfect.

Another great drive etched on my memory today. Its always a pleasure riding with you mate with your humor and bluntness. Its what has helped me grown this far. Kudos on the upgrade once again. Cheers mate!

I must say that today’s trip was a tremendous teaching, completely new area, maneuvers that I performed for the first time, but the most important thing was the support and camaraderie that exists in the group and that I really appreciate a lot. Marc (happy for your upgrade) and Marko thank you for the opportunity and teaching, and Salah thank you so much for the great support during my self recoveries, you were a great help to me. The rest of the guys, congratulations for a great job today
