Everybody was one time and deflated at 6 am, a perfect start to a windy but beautiful morning. After briefing, convoy lined up Chefmarc in lead, Marko 2nd lead, Rathica, Javier, Preggy and Tiago as sweeper we got moving.
Took some time to warm up, wind was very strong this morning. Luckily visibility was still good but the dunes were sharper than usual and we took it nice and easy.
After exploring an area many of us never drove before we made our way to Pink Rock for some big climbs not before one of our memerbes got a nice surprise.
On our way to exit we came across lovely dunes and finished off the drive with some long cresting and switching. After about 32Km we exited just before 9am as planned.
Marko
Thanks for the support on this trip and your guidance.
Rathica
Hope you enjoyed your surprise of second lead today. A few tweaks on the radio coms in the beginning but you finished really strong, your support was spot on.
Javier
Feels like you have been driving with Dessert Fellas a long time, you did fantastically, you have good control of your Jeep.
Preggy
Awesome job today, I can tell you have settled in nicely with your new ride.
Tiago
Flawless! Thank you for your support and for recovering me from the only stuck of the day.
Thanks to all who attended my first official lead today, you gave me good confidence for the next one.
Please rate and comment your trip.

Congrats @chefmarc and looking forward for next one …
What a great drive with an amazing group of people.
Congratulations to ChefMarc on his official Offroader lead👏🏼 It really was a surprise being second lead on an Offroader trip. Thank you for the opportunity 🥰
The beginning of the drive was exciting and tricky as visibility of the tracks especially on the crests and side sweeps was low due to the low sunrise and the sandstorm.
We did loads of crestings – some simple and some challenging as well as some really long ones. We had 3 really high climbs which we all completed successfully.
The short convoy kept the drive smooth. We had just one quick recovery. Marc constantly provided information on the tracks warning about obstacles and changes to the tracks.
I got to practice my radio communication as second lead and make some quick guided changes to the track. I also got to practice the 1 car – 2 cars to the left/right.
Thank you again ChefMarc and Marko for the guidance and Tiago for the sweep👍🏼
Keep it up girl you did great! I have a feeling this is the start of bigger things for you. 😁
Congrats Marc!!!
Sweeping was a breeze today, nice communication within the group makes the job a lot easier!
See you all soon!
Congratulations Chef on your first lead, I am sure you were more than great. Rathica, mabrooooooook, must have been a pleaser surprise👍👍👏👏
One of the obvious benefits of joining an off-road club is that you get to improve and in some cases master off-road driving. A less obvious benefit though, is the opportunity to explore parts of this beautiful country that you would not normally wander into. On Saturday’s drive Marc introduced me to a part of the Sharjah Desert that I’ve never visited before. Although the area did not have much to offer in terms of adrenaline filled action, Marc found many opportunities to test driver and vehicle on long steep climbs, meandering crests and some technical bits that caught me off guard. The convoy proceeded very smoothly with almost no recovery training for our sweeper (Tiago) 😂. So since there was no rescuing to be done, he put his time to good use by taking some great pictures of my car😘.
Thanks Marc for a great experience. Based on our conversation at the end of the drive I’m eagerly looking forward to this weeks drive. See you and the rest of the gang on the sand!
