A “Trip Organizer” Intern – Report
First, I would like to thank each and every Fella on the trip today for being there on the first trip i organized and lead from start to finish. Thank you guys!!
We all arrived on time and after deflation we had the safety briefing and hit the sand by 7:20 am. We began with a highly technical area and eased ourselves into the desert. We then took some high slopes up and down where each one had a chance to prepare for the highlight of the day. It took us a while to reach but, finally we arrived at the Iftar Bowl, where we all had numerous chances to conquer this huge dune, each on his own and as a convoy. Marko took pictures that i am sure will turn out to be amazing.
By the time we finished the Iftar Bowl, it was already past 10:00 am and the heat had started to kick in (from now on and till the end of summer we will start our trips at 6:00am instead of 7:00am), so we decided to exit at the nearest safety point. Overall, there were a few recoveries and second tries here and there but at the end it all went well.
Tiago: Good job today as expected, but Karen needs to have the “Merengue” for herself, so get your car back quickly buddy.
Karim: Nice come back after being away from the sand for a while, we wish to see more of you out there.
Tarek: You did well today, keep up the good work!
Pradeep & Sid: A few more trips and you guys will rock as off-readers; let’s just remember that gravity is always our friend that we can rely on in the desert.
Steven: It was a pleasure to have you join us today and thank you for being our sweeper and taking care of the recoveries. Hope to see you again soon on our trips.
Just one general thing today guys, we need to respect the convoy order. Remember no overtaking at any time even if the car in front of you gets stuck, we wait for its recovery then continue in the same order.

Well done! Sorry could not make it… Just back from business trip and too tired to drive. On a side note Stephanie said the guest room needs AC fixing to be able to join at 6am not to wake her up 🙂

Thanks for the drive. Hot & humid though but we should meet at sunrise and begin the drive at 6 dot in order to escape the sun.
