Ready, Set, GO!!! – Report
Great start, all the MF ( my friends ) were on time!
Coffee on hand we had the usual briefing and safety briefing by Marko assisted by Salah and Gonzo…
All set we drove to a Technical area small dunes with some cresting. At the first break Marko decided to split the convoys between Juniors lead by him (blue convoy )and off-roaders lead by Peter(red convoy)
Junior level: Lead: Marko, second lead Salah and sweeper Gonzo..
We continued our ride in a technical area with some basic cresting. Unfortunately we couldnโt continue our trip as planned because we had several stucks (a record high of nine and one tire pop-out), a few self recoveries and some second tries. All this resulted in a lot of waiting time for some of our fellas!
Karen:
We are really happy to see you progressing and building up you confidence, not much to say… good job.
Kunal:
Practice and listening will make you better keep up going and donโt be afraid you have an excellent car, today you had been recovered several times and debriefing by Marko, try to join the trips more often and you will be fine. And pls always follow the track!!!!
Moudy :
The sweeper killer heheheh, we talked a lot today you have a great car โtitanic โ but definitely not for the desert, you had experienced an over-heath, traction control problems and so on… You need to seriously think about changing this car if you want to move on to the next levels.
Preggy :
Nice hat!! Good improvement for man not much to say we are sure Rathica was helping you out there a lot as well, keep it up !
Deladierp:
Warm welcome to our new fella Deladier ( parenting by Gonzo) drove nicely a few second tries and a debriefed by Marko about proper technic to avoid the tail fishing but nicely done, welcome.

After being without car for some time – I’ve moved from JK to JKU – I was looking for an opportunity to hit the sand again. I was excited to join the drive with Marko. After the briefing we moved to desert to warm up. Then Marko called for a break, and surprised us with the news that the convoy would be split in two parts and I’d be leading the offroaders. My “red” convoy was joined by Adam, Thiago, Tarek and Pradeep
I asked Thiago to be my 2nd lead and Adam to be the sweeper and we went to play. The area was very technical with small sharp dunes and ditches. It didn’t allow us to develop tempo, but we practiced some side cresting on sharp dunes, going from both wind directions. It was sometimes tricky but my convoy did really well.
We stuck around the blue convoy who was progressing slowly due to some repetitive problems of some to overcome the dunes. When the time was up, Marko decided to end the drives and return to our morning meeting point.
Thanks to Thiago for his 2nd lead, he did great and helped also with recovery. And thanks to Adam for his efficient sweeping.
The day ended for me with a struggle – after inflating I turned off my engine but the car wouldn’t start again. The jump cables didn’t help, nor did the new battery that I got delivered on the spot, so I had to call for recovery and now waiting for the message from the garage.

Awesome trip for the Ramadan season, with new learning experience๐
Thank you Marko, Peter & other Desert Fellas for the nice drive. Technical & tactical learning experience, which really enhanced confidence level ๐

Awaiting next drive ๐
Thanks Marko for another drive, thanks Peter and sorry to hear about your car.
Congrats Salouh on the great new ride!
See you guys next Friday!
Thanks guys for the drive. Welcome to the group Peter and sorry to hear about your car, hope it is nothing serious.
Hey Peter, really sorry for the inconvenience you suffered at the end of the trip. I pray that itโs something trivial and that the garage calls you soon with some good news.
I was with the blue convoy , on a drive that promised to be a good mix of technical challenges and exciting side cresting. Unfortunately, the area proved a little too challenging for the heavy longer wheel based behemoths in our convoy. This resulted in a painstakingly slow progression without much actual driving.
On the up side, we got to witness Gonzoโs record breaking recovery stint and also benefited from a lesson on how to repair a pop out ๐๐ป๐๐ป.
Moudy, I have been driving with you since your very first drive with Desert Fellas. Your skill and confidence on the sand has improved tremendously since day 1. It was really unfortunate that your car let you down yesterday. I look forward to driving with you soon….when we both have more desert capable vehicles.
Thanks Rathica for letting me take your car for a spin in the desert. I now understand why the Jeep is a firm favorite in the desert.
Until we meet again ๐ค๐ผ
I love to read your comments man
