Practice Makes Perfect

Share with your friends!

We started the morning with a short direct briefing and nice positive vibes.
Nice convoy with good order and communication, we experienced a few cresting and side cresting, we had the opportunity to practice in a small bold with self recovery and to brief about the proper technique.

On the technical area we experienced a tire pop out ( fixed in 9 min approximately.. not bad 😉) good opportunity to make a quick brief about the proper procedure to recover and the importance of having the complete equipment onboard..
We drove to a technical area, small dunes, a few cresting with second try and stucks… sweeper worked a bit today!
Finally, we pushed the gas for some speed (up to 60 km/h on mostly straight line)… passing through some hills and dunes,  cooling down the engines a bit and taking the opportunity to feel the cars at a high revs , and to prepare for next high pace training.. unfortunately that speeding made one of our fellas felt a bit uncomfortable…
Building experience makes us better, seeing progress is a big cheer up for all of us fellas.
Great progress in all of us today
Aksana improving fast and nicely.
Tamer / Siddharth and the battle against gravity is getting better!
Let keep it up!

I had a great drive. The technical section being the most fun. Had an opportunity to be involved with two recoveries and assisted in a pop out repair. All good experience to gain. My only negative comment was the pace of the last 2km. I slowed for some small dunes as I had a small jump and was unable to catch back up.

@Bazzer, please, do me a favor and next time check with your team leader if is level adequate for you. If you consider pace of 60 km/h on straight line dangerous, negative or whatsoever, please do apply for only basic 1st and 2nd trips, only!!! Also it will help you to brush your skills on straight cresting. Training what you attend called “Here and There” was much more challenging than this one and I didn’t heard word from you. You will get more chances to try recovery but first I need to see you more confident. If I may suggest, try to take some notes for your reference because you are not driving to often with us and it’s normal to forget some things with time. And please if you can do me a favor. Please be part of the group do not separate during the trips and discus about our driving styles and techniques with teammates who has less experience than you. We are here to help and build your confidence and knowledge for safety of everyone in the desert. And most important, we are not asking anything from you but it’s gonna be nice in a future if you at least say at least “bye” to your team leader when you leaving. Respect is a key word!!! You are always welcome to sit with us and chit chat at least for 5 minutes of course if you have time and if you are comfortable to do so. For any furtherer discussion and clarification, if necessary please contact me on telegram. Thank you!
