Great to be out in the dunes on a Friday afternoon  ready to kick start the weekend of desert off-roading.

With everyone at the meeting point in good time and ready to start this epic weekend the convoy waisted no time engaging 4×4 and head off to our adventure. We picked an area close to Fossil rock to explore, last year there were so many grader tracks that the area was not a pleasure to drive in at all. Now after many months later coming back we were expecting it to be much better and once we reached the first big bowls we were very pleased to find smooth slopes. There are now still some signs of these terrible tracks in a few places but very manageable and for the most part not a car breaker situation anymore.

After making a few passes on numerous bowls our cars were running a bit hot so we took the chance to have a nice break and let our engines cool down a bit while we took in the beautiful landscape around us before heading out for more side sloping and bowl driving fun.  A while later we passed by Fossil rock to admire it from afar and reminisce of old times of the view from the top before making our way to Al Faya dune.

This dune was before also littered with grader tracks but today was much cleaner and presented a great many high reving passes pushing our cars to there limits and beyond before retiring in the sunset on time to inflate and head home.
