The Inner Rims
Back at Badayer roundabout this morning, we kicked off our deflation point, joined by many other convoys. Thanks to good time management, we set off first, giving us access to the most pristine slopes—a great perk of an early start.
Our warm-up pace was blistering, pushing the limits of our juniors to see if any had the potential for a future advanced training course before summer ends and the winter camping season begins.
Thirty minutes into this fast-paced drive, we hit our first snag. One of our Rams had some power steering issues. We quickly made the call to safely guide it to the emergency exit so it could be checked out at the agency.
As we moved on to more challenging slopes and adrenaline-pumping lines, another issue cropped up: a knocking sound from the lifters. This led us to another emergency exit, sending our jeep home to visit the workshop later in the week.
Now a smaller convoy, we ventured deeper into the territory, discovering the smoothest bowls and untouched crests I hadn’t seen in years. Even Iftar and Super Bowls barely had tracks, making this morning one of the best summer mornings in Badayer in many years.
Having had our fill of adventure, we were the first out of the dunes while temperatures were still pleasant, for July at least. Many thanks for an epic drive this morning, team, and to Ryan for his steadfast sweeper duty. Catch you on the slopes soon!
