A chilly pre-dawn morning in Badayer necessitated deflating under the light of head torches and wearing a few extra layers from the winter wardrobe.

Level and pace a little lower for most of the drive, we had our eyes set on two big challenges for the day; Gravity Bowl and Iftar Bowl.

As the sun came up we hit the gas and set off for our first target with a nice warm up around the small rolling dunes along the way, focusing on keeping the convoy moving as one team.

Fully in the zone and with some nice climbs under our belts it was time to hit the bowls with Marko watching on making sure we kept our discipline.

Our first pass round Gravity Bowl resulted in a few second tries with cars from other convoys in the bottom of the bowl making recoveries tricky.

Several repetitions climbing from both directions and confidence levels increasing, we were once again flowing like a well oiled machine and took a rest break to allow the adrenaline levels to come back down.

Onwards to Iftar bowl, dropping a few passengers at the bottom of the dune to spectate it was time to take on this famous landmark. Smashing it from the first go, we climbed higher with each climb, culminating with a trademark Desert Fellas formation at the top to wrap up the day.

Time was against us unfortunately so we made our way to the exit point satisfied with a fun morning on the sand and some new experiences gained to take into the next drive.

Thanks to Harun for the great second lead and to Marko for keeping us safe at the back.
