Supercrush, the name and trip discription said it all!

We were the first on the dunes this morning and had free rein of Bedyer area, so with now one else in sight and a brief briefing we hit the sand to warm up with quick and steady progression.

Once the hill climbs started they just got higher, faster and technical, Supercrushing ever crest in sight. At one of the peaks we stopped for a few minutes to enjoy the empty quietness and sunrise, truly majestic.

After this stop convoy made its way to Iftar bowl, climbing it up, down, left and right basically almost every way except upside-down.Ā  Then we made our way to Super bowl visiting the peaks in-between for more crests and bowl.

As we approached Super bowl we were not alone anymore with some convoys appearing. This didn’t slow us down at all and we stared climbing tripple switch for an epic entrance into Super bowl.

After playing at this location everyone stopped to have a well deserved breakfast breakfast. With tummies full the main course was served in the form of more peaks, bowls andĀ  dunes to crush al the way to the exit to finish on time after 72km.

Thank you Johann, Anders, Rathica and Preggy for an amazing drive, lest do it again next week!

Getting out there so early this morning was totally worth it, not often we don’t see another soul and no engines roaring! My favourite trip today so far. Let’s see, the day is still young šŸ˜šŸ™ˆ.

  2. When I tell people I get up at 3:30 am so that I can go and drive in the desert, they look at me like I’m crazy. Well maybe we are, just a little, but man is it worth it!! Great mix of pace, high climbs, switching and a bit of technical makes for a awesome morning out! Thanks so much to everyone!!!

  3. Supercrush was an absolute rush. Right from the start, near Badayer shops, the team was crushing it. @marc chose beautiful lines and maintained a high pace throughout the trip, with our off-roaders in hot pursuit. The convoy got a taste of everything this area had to offer: fast uphill and downhill Cresting, high speed switching across soft ridges and speeding around big bowls. The convoy got to experience some novel approaches to famiar landmarks and executed them all with great control. Anders was cresting the ridges of the big bowls like a real pro, Johann discovered that the Xterra is unstoppable once it gets going and the most recent mods on Rathica’s Jeep make it almost untouchable In her capable hands.
A great morning out with great bunch of Fellas. The ride back home was like a sauna because my AC died during the last hour of the drive. Thankfully the convoy drove so well, even the most difficult areas, that the recovery rope stayed neatly packed away for the entire drive. Looking forward to the next Offroader drive.

  4. I am gutted to have had to miss this one. Sounds like it was the place to be on Thursday!
Catch you all on the next OR drive.
