Sundowners

The value of a small convoy in a technical area cannot be overstated. The convoy of three headed off into the dunes near the Tawi fence and made quick progress getting to the first challenge. The sand texture was extremely unpredictable – with firm crests in some areas and extremely soft slopes in others. There were a few instances where a climb had to be abandoned midway due to powdery sand slowing progress drastically, but the small and experienced convoy dealt with these situations flawlessly.
Today’s drive was a step up from last week’s – with switches on high climbs and high speed bowl driving. We even managed to exit the desert before the sun went down and had an absolute blast doing it.

Can’t wait to get back to this area and discover more of its hidden treasures.

Thanks to Hussam and Javier for participating and making this drive possible.

This trip has made the wait for next weekend bearable, I guess there will be enough adrenaline leftovers until next weekend.

I cannot thank you enough Preggy and Javier, we conquered those dunes as one strong team 💪 See you next one

    1. I like the fact that there’s so much to cover in this area that no two drives have to be the same.
We should make as many trips as possible in the winter because this place can be extremely challenging in summertime when the sand loosens up and becomes like talcum powder.

  2. Sounds like it was an interesting and enriching trip. My upcoming new favorite area 😇
Hope I can join you guys on the next one.
