SOULSCAPE: A JOURNEY FOR THE MIND, BODY AND SOUL.

Share with your friends!

Our team of enthusiastic fellas returning to the sand after the summer break, we took our time reviewing the necessary convoy driving disciplines for safe desert driving.

During this period, we received a message from one fella who was suffering mechanical issues enroute to the meeting point who made the right decision to head back for safety reasons rather than participating in the drive.

Starting with a gentle warm up we proceeded through a technical area with subtle undulating dunes, with our wheels articulating we reacquainted ourselves with the sensations of off-road driving. The convoy now operating smoothly and warmed up, we increased our speed slightly as we headed to a play area consisting of long sweeping picturesque dunes where we could leave our fresh tracks across the faces and smiles on ours.

It was time for a short break to recharge and socialize with our fellas and their guests all while taking in our beautiful surroundings.

Continuing our journey, we navigated through demanding and intricate terrain, marked by sections of exceedingly soft sand pockets. With a few second try’s it was a good opportunity to refresh the procedures in that situation and highlight the importance of radio communication. With an assisted recovery quickly carried out by the support team we quickly got moving again.

Now safely through the technical areas we opened up the throttles again for a final surge before heading to the exit for some much-needed refreshments and snacks under the shade of a ghaf tree.

Thank you all for great drive, special thanks to Harun (SL), Javier and Martin for the support.

See you on the sand soon for another adventure.

  1. A great drive with a range of different challenges through technical areas and long side sloping dune formations. The weather was surprisingly temperate which made it possible to enjoy some banter at the rest points. Thanks Malcolm for a fantastic morning, looking forward to the next one!
