Saturday Afternoon
Saturday is over and not so weird to drive. It’s a wonderful bit of a change to drive in the afternoon.
We started as seniors, relaxed. But we quickly switched to working mode. The beautiful dune formation allowed us to introduce a few elements and practice them through this drive.
Today we had a lot more stucks than usual but that didn’t overly disrupt the tempo drive. At least for us who were involved in recovery :).
After a pleasant break we increased the pace and left nice tracks on the high dunes.
We finished the ride happily and with a wide smile on our face and that is the most important thing in the whole story.
Thank you very much Martin for your help as a second lead (thanks for amazing photos) and Indra for watching our back. Thank you Nowar and Ray for attendance.

A great drive today with a lot of learning experiences including switching and short stop straight cresting. A nice warm up through great terrain leading to some fast paced hill climbs around Big Red. Rather busy with bumpy tracks but it was a blast. I remember this area from basic training when it scared the crap out of me but the training and discipline instilled by DF results in confidence and this time it was sheer joy! Thank you Marko for the recovery training, every drive is a learning experience and you can indeed teach an old dog new tricks! Ray, Nowar, Indira, always a pleasure driving with you. Catch you on the next one!
At last, thanks to everyone, today was a drive that is less of Junior and more Fun. Nevertheless, we learnt something new and practiced the existing skills for the next level. It was quite remarkable how effortlessly we dashed through the busy area flying our flags proudly and leaving nothing, but the dust behind. Thank you, Marko, for the great lead! See you all on the sand
