Power UP Juniors!

This morning the cold could not take away our fun but the frequent tire pop outs, stucks and sandstorm did.

We started the briefing on time at a shaky 9 degrees Celsius. After we presented and agreed on the driving plan, we started warming up. Right after had our first pop-out which slowed us down a bit. After that we reached the planned pace but not for long as another pop out soon followed. We headed towards the larger dunes where we passed through a technical zone where we were slowed down again by several recoveries. Light sandstorm started to build up which eventually escorted us out of the desert with a slight delay. Unfortunately too many recovers and tire pop outs have killed the charm of this ride but it’s part of the game and we won’t complain. The worst ride is when there is no ride. Our recovery trainee had a good opportunity to hone his skills. All members showed teamwork and good discipline while driving. I hope that the next ride will be more fun for the members and less for the supporting team.

Cheers!

It quite obvious how all of us enjoy it when Marco crystallize our skills in those kind of drives, that’s why I’m happy to wake up 4 am every weekend for that ..
Thanks Zubair for your support, and Zaid for being our sweeper today.

Great drive today, was good to be back in the desert.

Thanks to the support team for their help with everything and thanks Marko for leading us through the dunes.

Cant wait to get back out there.

Always good to hit the sand and practice some skills. Especially this time of the year. Great drive. Thank you all.

  4. It was a very cold morning but we were all happy to be there early.
First tyre pop-out helped to warm up. I’m glad to have had Marko on this drive as senior as the first 2 tyre pop-outs proved to be quite tricky.
It was good practice to be SL as well since it has been some time.
Overall it was a good learning day for me. I hope next time the convoy will enjoy it more than me; more driving and less recovering.
Each drive is different, each recovery and situation is different and I’m glad to learn as much as I can and improve in efficiency.
Thanks Ziad for filling the gap.

We started the drive at the place where it all began for most of us at the ABinitio. Short after I had my very first tire pop out and the support team along With Marko’s guidance got me up and running in no time. We got to do minor crests and few switches which was very exiting. Multiple recoveries and pop outs showed that the team is ready for any challenge!

  6. Thank you for having me today! What a great way to reboot my off-roading journey.

Despite the averse weather conditions and unfortunate events I learned a lot and defrosted some of my driving skills.

Thanks to the support team that today have been positive despite the relentless bad luck. Zoubeir has been legendary!

Thank you again for another great trip.
