With winter in full swing, it was the perfect time to bring back an old fan favourite, the Pancake Drive!

We gathered at our meeting spot before dawn, buzzing with excitement for an adventure into the Ghaf forest on the border of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, deep in the Al Faqa desert.

Although this area has slowly been taken over by desert shrubs, there are still plenty of smooth, golden slopes to conquer. We picked only the best dunes to open the throttle and feel the thrill of dune surfing in our 4×4 rigs, carving our way toward the forest.

Once there, we set up our pancake station just in time for sunrise, nothing beats a fresh stack of blueberry pancakes topped with maple syrup and cream, paired with a steaming cup of coffee as the desert glows in morning light.

After soaking in the serenity and wild beauty of the dunes, we kicked off a safari-style drive, taking our time to spot gazelles and camels along the way to the exit.
