Yet another fantastic Discovery Offroad session, even though its heating up we had a good group off trainees that were eager to learn.

This morning’s theory session went extremely smooth, our new online training sessions gave us much more time to drive and only a short recap was needed to get everyone ready and confident to tackle the first dune of the day. Once everyone was comfortable with the radio, deflating procedure and 4 wheel drive controls our convoy order was set and ready to move in record time.

The first dune crossing needed a little more attention this morning to get our new members more confident and feel at ease, after spending this time on repetition I could tell from the broad smiles all around that it was time to increase the size of the and explore further in the dunes. After a few hours of working on disciplines and navigating new terrain we stopped for a well deserved break in the shade near lovely oasis before the heat of the day set in.

The last 30 min of the morning sessions the signs of fatigue started setting in with a few second tries and a kinetic recovery as we made our way to the exit for a well deserved break only to regroup at 14:30 after the mid day heat .

In the afternoon the fun really started with even bigger dune crossings and then lessons on side sloping which was the highlight of the day and after a good 3 hours of driving it was time to exit an head home to break the fast.

An amazing achievement from every one, I could not be more proud of  what you all have accomplished in just one day and with such discipline! You all concurred mountains today and congratulations on some great driving. We look forward to see you all in basic training or the next discovery off road session.
