Mettle Set
Back in action at Nahil this morning for a bumpy but exhilarating junior drive!
With an impressive convoy of 11 cars, we wasted no time deflating our tires and hitting the slopes with purpose.
We started out at a blistering pace, pushing some members out of their comfort zones. The first 30 minutes were challenging, with following distance and car control being weak points for some. However, as the drive progressed, our drivers started to get more comfortable and gain better control.
At one point, I hit a nasty bump and instructed the convoy to change track slightly to avoid it. After this bump, my car didn’t feel as stable, but it was still capable of handling challenging lines. A few kilometers later, we took a breather to assess any damage. Unfortunately, my car had a broken front axle, meaning an early retirement for me.
Not to disappoint the rest of the convoy, one of our trip leads, Malcolm, took the reins and led the team through some big climbs and staggering bowls, ensuring everyone exited safely as planned and with big smiles.
Even though the drive didn’t go exactly as planned, we met our objectives and had a blast. Many thanks to Ryan and Malcolm for their support. Looking forward to enjoying this area again soon with everyone!
