Junior Level 4 (AI 12)

I was very curious about this Ab Initio 12 generation as they are working per our newly upgraded training.

It turns out that our new standard is quite challenging, every step counts and there is no time to relax.

Today’s training could not be completed due to multiple stucks and recoveries and car breakdown.

We were left the desert without grand finale which was combination of all the elements we tried but in higher pace.

Nevertheless, I can estimate that the amount of knowledge and skills today was enough for the next challenge but with a little longer warm-up with repetition of today’s elements.

We started the ride with a few stucks (including myself) which was breaking our flow.

In the middle of the trip we had a car breakdown due to an incorrectly installed skid plate on the vehicle where they left too long screws in the workshop. While driving, the bolt damaged the radiator, so the coolant began to leak and the vehicle overheated.

Sweeper successfully performed a towing from the desert, support until vehicle was picked up by towing company.

We finished the trip 10 minutes earlier than planned.

When we take into account the elements we have practiced and that it is a Junior 4 ride, I rate this trip as successful.

Great report, Marko, and a fabulous drive despite the issues. Definitely another step up in challenge with those high high side crests, but good to push ourselves and the vehicles.
Sad about my poor Prado breakdown but the team handled it perfectly and managed the situation.
Thank you SO much for all the support and learning. Fast forward to the next drive 🙂

Nice drive. Full of lessons to learn and build up confidence. Great opportunity to know more the car and set the personal limits. The stucks and breakdown were good examples of the things that can happen when you are driving off road. Unfortunately we couldn’t do more because of the time, but every minute we had was worth it!!! Thanks Marko, Sven, Sujith and Fellas!!! See you next time!

  3. Yet another drive that I really enjoyed. Loved tho long side cresting with the bumby terrain at the end. Still need to knuckle down the feeling of riding the waves with the trottle like a well timed dance. Track following was a issue for some with quite a few stucks, but it was all managed perfectly.

Thanks to Marko for the energetic teaching and encouragement all through the trip. Really learning a lot from our leaders!!

    What a drive !

It started slowly and surely with some staight dunes and then we arrived to the main course : side slopes. The high ones. The ones you look at being humble…

Hopefully for the padawans of AB12, Marko was there to show us the way and slopes after slopes, being pushed in a positive way, ‘surfing’ it at different levels, doing cancel exercices (because you know, gravity is a reality) and step by step we started to build up some more skills and driving our cars with the flow (and not the flow driving it!).

Moral of the jr lvl 4 : follow the track !

Thanks again to marko for this drive, Sven for its second opening and of course Sujith for his legendary patience as sweeper.

Looking forward to the next one.

I was so excited in the in the beginning, then,
TWO MINUTES LATER: My first stuck.
It’s was not my day. Though we learned a lot of new techniques, and I love them.

    Thanks a lot Marko 👍🏻

First of – sorry for being late.

But want an amazing trip – for the limited driving we did it was fast paced and fun.

Managed to hit the 80km speeds that Marco promised which is always exciting.

Can’t wait for the next drive !!!

  7. Nice meeting some new Fellas on this trip , unfortunate of the breakdown though we kept the spirit high during the stops and everybody arrived safe and sound at the road … thank you for the afternoon ride and hope to see you all soon again in the sand
