Javelin

Javelin drive was the first official offroad drive for our newly trained offroaders.

Today we came back to an old area  that some of our current offroader have not been before, full of technical, sharp crests and flat bottom dunes which makes this area very unforgiving and hard on vehicles if not navigated properly. The very first dune was a second try and not long after a pop out.

After a good hour and a half we started towards a very special area with very long crests and big dunes, but unfountunaly we had a Fella with a transmission fluid leak so we lock up his car put him in the passanger seat and kept moving.

This is were the trip started to gain momentum and I could see that this was what all those training drives and hours building skill was meant for. These guys were absolutely killing it, surfing and switching every crest in sight and literally asking for more, half the distance today was easily spent cresting  and with very little break in between.

It was truly a special drive with dark overcast sky’s and light drizzle which is one that will be remembered and talked about for a long time to come.  Once we reached the exit we bid our fairwells and I headed with my passanger to go fetch his vehicle to take them both out safely.

Many thanks offroaders and supports for an excellent drive, lets go back soon.

With a perfect alternance of technical small dunes at the beginning, some longer ones after and a great cresting playground, a drive like this should be declared of public interest.

Beautiful lines, great company, many nuances of grey in the sky, the rain, a very special light…what else…?

The al qudrah al faqaa perfect crossing has now a name : Javelin.

Looking forward to the next throw.

  3. That was a tailored offroader level drive, full of learning, control and fun. I would do it time after time, amazingly beautiful! Thanks a lot 👍

It feels good but very different to drive at the very back of the convoy, but all was good at the back. Thanks for the drive and good spirit, I am sure Anders now hates Jeeps more than before 😉
