Winter Adventures in the Desert: Abu Dhabi Edition

With winter in full swing and Dubai’s sands bustling with activity, we decided to head towards Abu Dhabi for a change of scenery—and it turned out to be just what the dune doctor ordered!

Our journey began at the smooth, golden slopes of Nahil, just after sunrise. We were on a mission to chase pristine sand formations, and for our new junior graduates, this was going to be a memorable treat. Bigger dunes, epic bowls, and the thrill of pushing speedometers to new limits were all on the agenda.

The morning started with a steady pace, allowing us to soak in the serenity of the desert. We found a cozy spot for our first break, just in time to watch the morning fog rise and dissolve from the vast desert floor a breathtaking sight. But the dunes weren’t going to make it easy. Challenges came quickly, including a pop-out that Nail skillfully handled, ensuring we kept the momentum alive.

As the day progressed, we tackled high-paced side slopes, our vehicles carving through the sand. All too soon, it was time to head for the exit, where we reminisced about the day’s adventures while inflating tires for the journey home.
