Basic training 2
Today we welcomed a slightly smaller group to Basic training 2 drive as some of our trainees were travelling for the long weekend
After a saftey briefing and convoy order alignment we started with warm up and then a brief lesson to a Fella who had missed the previous drive. The convoy then proceeded with straight cresting where we had a few second tries.
With warm up done, we crept through some tightly packed dunes testing our convoy’s technique in this area. As the terain became more challenging and technical we all switched to 4 low giving everybody the chance to feel the torque of a lower gear ratio and benifts of use in specific situations.
After a short break and once again some delicious karak and snacks our convoy continued towards some bigger dunes to reach Amir’s hill for a few exercises on side slopes in diffrent and correct gear selection. At this point everyone was showing some good diciplines and the flow was becoming more consistent as the speed increase while side sloping on some beautiful dune formations on our way to the exit.
Our trainee really made the last 20 -15 min look effortless and came together as a team to show how an offroad drive in the desert should look like. An awsome job from all today.
Thank you to our trainees for a great morning and to our support team Marko, Michael and Hayssam. See you all on the next drive.
