Apex warmup
A very early start to reach our meeting point other side of Al Ain.
Today’s drive had a clear mission, warm up for our Al Qua camp next week and we chose this meeting point for that exact purpose, untouched crests, smooth massive dunes and very few other tracks in sight.
Our warmup was brisk and by the first bowl we were already running red hot, so much so that we had to stop for a quick engine cool down. The first leg of the drive was very challenging and level was high with big bowls and very high and sharp crests, we even had a few stuck on crests today that were recovery quickly.
At Old Lady dune we needed another break to coold down our engines before heading to what I call the temple. Massive crests and very demanding climbs, here we needed a few second tries to switch these monsters but we had massive amounts of fun doing it.
The last leg we headed to Nagrah for a few passes. The dune was busy and very chewd up so we didn’t spen to much time messing about and moved on swiftly to more pleasant and faster paced dunes.
With 30 min left of the dive the convoy really pushed hard as the level increased even more towards the exit for us to finish on time with some epic switches on the way.
Many thanks to Hayssam and Anders for a great morning, it was an epic drive with some excellent challenges that left us feeling accomplished and challanged. See you on the dunes very soon.
