Advanced training 3

Advanced training 3 started out in a familiar area from basic training but we have designed the new challenges to really take our team out of their comfort zone and push their limits.

The briefing commenced late afternoon, about an hour before dusk to give trainees the opportunity to warm up before switching on their off road lights.  During the warm up we switched and crested through some nice dunes at a quick pace then head out into a more technical area to continue the same as the sun light faded the driving lights came on.

The challenges was nothing new for the team but with the added difficulty of close to no visibility made them rely on their training, master their car and nail  technique. During the dark part of the drive cresting and advanced challenges are extremely tricky so we had several second tries and even a stuck, but the support team managed to get the team through safely. At the last part of the drive we pick up the pace and challenges even more toward the exit to finish slightly ahead of schedule.

The advanced training drivers are really developing fast and mastering the art of dancing with the dunes, next week will be a big step up as is every week and I’m am really looking forward to seeing them fly on those massive dunes.

Thank you Marko for the support and Hussam for some great sweeping. well done training team you all did great.

The small comments and advices makes massive difference on my driving level.
Thanks @Marko & @chefmarc for the precious coaching.

Looking forward for the final one 🦾

  2. Another excellent training session adding new challenges. The first night drive for most of us and it certainly made reading the terrain, following the track and maintaining following distance much more difficult. I believe this pushed us to trust the driver in front and build confidence as a convoy. Some great advice from Marko, Chef Marc and Hussam so we all learned a lot and improved our skills in the desert.
