Advanced Junior level 4
Everyone was very eager to drive this morning and were ready a few minutes before the drive start time wich is exactly the way we like it.
This trip objective was to bring everything together from Junior to Advanced Jr learning, so diciplines and technique was high on the agenda. Starting off in a technical area there was multiple second tries, self recoveries and a few stuck. After some adjustment on tyer presure and following distance we sarted with a bit of flow towards some bigger dunes.
Here we took the time to push everyone a bit higher and put some techniques in practice, most fellas manage very nicley and some still need a bit more practice, so we kept repeating till everyone got the hang of it. A few minutes later we had a pop out, our sweeper was quick to action but the jack hydraulic seal failed. This is why its so important all Fellas carry saftey equipment so this was quickly replaced by one of the many jacks in the convoy.
The convoy started enjoying good flow even with multiple other club convoys in the area. Nice hill climbs deep bowls and gentle switches at a bit of a higher pace, we started having some nice, light offroader bites. Finishing the drive only 10 min behind schedule eventhough we had a very tiered sweeper.
I was very happy to see good dicipline from all the convoy, great job team!
A big thanks to Sujith for his hard work today as sweeper and getting everyone out safley.
Catch you all on the next one.

Awsome start to the long weekend, we will go bsck soon and conquer those challenges flawlessly. Thanks Mick for steping up as second lead today. Catch you on Saturday all.
Enjoyed it! Anytime 👍
What a great way to start the long weekend.
Eid Al Adha Mubarak to all!
I was delighted to be back in this area for a second time this week, it was great to see so many Fellas arrive early. Shows respect to everyone’s time.
The drive got off to a choppy start with a few Fellas struggling with the combination of soft and hard sand in the early technical areas. I was following Marc a little close at the start which got me into a tricky stuck situation. Sujith to the rescue with a swift recover and we were back on track.
30 mins in and the convoy found its grove as we entered the bigger dunes. Marc found a great spot for 2 challenges, the first was a warm up to the second, which was an awesome/tricky bowl challenge. We all took on both challenges individually and the majority competed them with guidance from Marc on a couple of second tries!
Following the challenges we took on the bowl in convey but unfortunately one of the Fellas had pop out, the recover took a bit of time due to failure of a hydraulic jack. These things happen and shows the importance of everyone having their recovery gear.
Really enjoyed the 1 x 1 challenges today, nice to do some spectating 👀
Big thanks to @chefmarc and Sujith, looking forward to the next one! 👌
The best way to start the long break… A drive with DF and close to one of my favourite areas… Badayer… It’s always a pleasure to drive with you guys… Great support today team… Catch you all on the sand soon 🚙💨💨💨
It was a really really nice trip, especially the last part with the big dunes and cresting.
We have put everything we learned to the test and I am so happy with how it went. It was also great to see sime other clubs and set the standard high, I think though fhere were many convoys in the area today, only one looked very professionally conquering the sand 😉
Thanks Chef Mark, Mic and Sujith, see you all on Saturday💪🏻
Fantastic drive.
Lots of learning and lots of fun.
Definitely more demanding then the previous ones especially in terms of power and control.
The start in the technical area made us see the big difference between junior and off-roader. The mix between straight cresting a cresting at high pace challenged our ability to keep up the pace and to control the car.
I have loved the self recovery where I was guided to use the traction control to get out of trouble. Definitely a super useful one.
Thanks for the patience of letting me try that challenge 3 times (and still no joy) If anything it taught me a lot in regards to turning down when I am not fast enough.
Loved the punctuality as well.
I could join the drive and go to work on time.
Was amazing morning drive , mix of tests were put into action. Thanks chef marc for the wonderful trip. Thanks to Mike and sujith for the support and looking after us while other convey where around the area. See you soon on the sands.
A great drive & great location form @chefmarc as usual, the key of the drive today (and every day) was: know your car capabilities & limitations + convoy discipline. That’s it!
Really happy to see @sujithm today with his beast, still remember my first drive ever at AB initio 9, i was driving behind him & he was second lead and was always giving me a thumbs up to makes me feel more confident.
Thanks @mijoco for the second lead today, all the instructions were on spot 👌
Glad to drive with this group members, really felt like i am with my brothers.
See you Saturday with Preggy 💪🤙
What a bliss again to catch the sunrise and set-up the car for a morning drive. Everyone was set-up and ready to go and Chef had no mercy! We were pushed from the get-go with big dunes while our engines were still cold and the first hour had most of us on edge due to the terrain being bumpy as hell! If anyone find my inner fender please let me know 🙂 🙂
As usual we started as a team and ended as a team with all fellas attended for. I call this a successful trip! 5 Stars all the way
another trip and another 5 star rating no questions asked!
it was a very well planned trip by @chefmarc
nice and smooth but rapid warm up and the 1-by-1 challenges were to push us harder.
@sujithm and Chef were of a great assistance to deal swiftly with my pop-out (not a pop-out virgin anymore!)
all in all it was a great learning trip. i cannot believe when I look back to the January. the progression under Desert Fellas has been amazing. I feel safe with DF and I’m eager to learn more!
Looked like I missed a good trip! Do I sense a new batch of Offroaders coming up soon? 😂
