Practice Makes Prospects
Everyone arrived before starting time but took way to long to deflate and get sorted. Please DF, standard is be ready to move on time, it’s your responsibility to make sure you arrive early enough to make this happen.
With a quick recap on the 8 golden rules discussed in AB Initio and briefing we got moving. Starting off nice and easy, increasing gradually. With a few second tries, a stuck and some fighting gravity we stopped to practice techniques which made the convoy flow improve immediately.
All members drove well today, with excellent communication between everyone. A few points to work on, fighting gravity is never allowed! Following distance needs improvement.
Finally at our last break to take our group photo, one fella’s car would not start, possibly due to dirty fuel. We left one of our sweepers with him for a while, the rest of the convoy moved the exit to finish on time after 36km.
- Once at the exit, rest of the supports header back to the stranded fella and towed him out of the desert getting his car running again.
Excellent support today team thank you, prospects and other drivers I’m proud of your progress through out the trip and looking forward to the next one.

See you soon everyone 🤗
Thank you marc for giving me the opportunity to be a sweep-prentice. It was a learning curve for mastering the art of recovery. Thanks to preggy for being my wingman and guiding me when i was in doubt. Pleasant morning and apologies for being slightly late.
