Forest Run Social
The morning began well before sunrise as we set out to beat the midsummer heat of the Arabian Desert on an adventure to the Ghaf Forest in Al Faqa.
Even with our early start, temperatures were already climbing into the high 30s, but that didn’t stop us from exploring this beautiful corner of the desert.
One of the OG driving areas, Al Faqa offers some fantastic dunes for side sloping. While thicker shrubs now cover much of the open sand, there are still plenty of excellent lines, if you know where to look.
The first hour was an absolute blast. We found those epic open sections and took full advantage, opening up the throttles and enjoying the drive before reaching the forest.
Once there, we settled in for a well earned break with breakfast snacks and warm drinks, soaking in the sunrise and appreciating the peace of being surrounded by nature.
As the humidity began to rise, it was our cue to start making our way toward the exit. We enjoyed a relaxed overland style drive out, finished slightly ahead of schedule, aired up our tires, and headed home to make the most of the rest of the weekend.
A huge thank you to everyone for another fantastic morning in the dunes, and special thanks to our safety angels, Sara and Darinka, for keeping the convoy running smoothly.
- Until the next adventure, see you in the dunes!
