Sand Searches
Trip and Report by Anders
We started bright and early, with almost everyone on time for a brisk drive through the desert from Al Madam roundaoubt to Gravity and Iftar Bowl. The morning was beautiful, but we can feel the heat of summer more now, nothing we couldn’t handle though.
We warmed up nicely on the small dunes towards Gravity Bowl, shortly after we entered the bigger dunes, and having to avoid all new construction that is going on there. We had our first stuck, the sand was really soft.
To make the trip more eventful and give Sarah our sweeper trainee some experience, one of our drives decided to donate a pop put, doing the recovery process we discovered he had gone all in and also bent his wheel a little bit, stopping us from being able to inflate it.
So it was a fantastic day for Sarah and Marc 🙂
After having sent him off with an escort to the nearest exit, we continued towards Iftar Bowl and made good progress and managed to get a bit of nice sloping in.
Already delayed we only did a couple of passes on Iftar Bowl before heading out towards our exit.
But all in all a nice drive.
Big thanks to Sarah and Marc for keeping the convoy together and safe!
