Basic training lesson 1

Share with your friends!

Winter is finally here, and with the crisp, refreshing breeze this morning, what better way to kick things off than with a brand-new generation of Basic training.

We started the day by discussing the objectives for the upcoming week, reinforcing the essentials of discovery theory, and emphasizing the critical importance of safety gear and proper recovery points—because safety first, always! Then, it was time to head out into the dunes for the day’s exciting challenges.

We began with a solid warmup and some fresh challenges, providing plenty of opportunities to practice radio communications, maintaining safe following distances, and perfecting those all-important recovery techniques. A lot of time was spent navigating tricky, powder-soft sand in the technical areas, forcing us to adjust our route to stay on track. But we powered through, eventually reaching the long side slopes, where we picked up the pace and zoomed through the “Snake Valley Dunes,” finishing right on schedule!

The new generation of drivers delivered an impressive performance, and their progress over the coming weeks promises to be nothing short of outstanding. A big shoutout to Javier for his sharp-eyed supervision of the convoy as sweeper. Looking forward to catching you all on the dunes next week for lesson 2!
