Zest for the Crests
A serene morning nestled between the borders of Dubai and Abu Dhabi on the fringes of a camel farm.
Our quest today? To seek out the longest and sharpest crests. Mother Nature, in all her whimsy, graciously swept the dunes with powerful gales during the night, making the first part of our mission a breeze.
Yet, the real challenge awaited – flattening those sand waves in a serious cresting session. No walk in the desert, mind you, as these dunes were as sharp as a razor’s edge.
Our session unfolded exceptionally, each dune kissed with the marks of a rear differential cutting through those razor-edged slopes. Progress was only hindered by the occasional need to turn towards gravity, avoiding belling out, and then returning for a second pass just to finish the task.
As we neared the exit, a serious stuck befell us. Fear not, for our whole group had completed recovery training the previousweekend, swiftly executing a kinetic pull, propelling us toward the exit, finishing precisely on time.
A short yet intense Sunday morning escapade—thanks to Marcin, Sarah, and Ryan for wrapping up the weekend in style, leaving us all eagerly churning through the week, already yearning for the next adventure.
