As dawn crept up on us, there was that mix of excitement and impatience among our crew. You could feel the buzz even before the sun peeked over the horizon. With the first splash of sunlight, we kicked off, ready to tackle the dunes.

We warmed up on the smaller mounds, tires digging into the sand, as we made our way to Big Red.  We took the challenge head-on, engines revved, zipping up and over, crisscrossing its peaks with the thrill of kids on a roller coaster.

Next up were the high-speed dunes, a desert racer’s dream. We charged toward Pink Rock, weaving through the sandy tracks left by others. Here and there, we found untouched paths—our own secret trails that seemed to urge us faster.

Reaching Pink Rock, we realized we were on the clock, but the adrenaline was far from fading. We gunned it back to Big Red, cutting the return trip to a breathtaking 20 minutes.

That left us plenty of time to mess around the dunes nearby, every slide and drift kicking up clouds of dust, marking our fun.

Finally, content with our day’s fill of adventure, we decided to call it a wrap. Rolling out, we stumbled upon our juniors just as they were prepping to leave. We stopped for a bit, helped them out with their tires, and shared a good laugh or two, capping off the day just right.
