Gravity Flow

The off-roading community was out in full force this morning as we gathered at a popular meeting point in Badayer – the sound of tyres being deflated providing the soundtrack for the day’s safety briefing. Not to be outdone, our Desert Fellas convoy was at the front of the pack.

Entering the desert, we warmed up in some smaller dunes and made our way towards Gravity Bowl, but not before we made the most of the bigger play areas on the way – pushing our cars on climbs and around bowls to our hearts content.

Thankfully we encountered only a few other convoys on this route and had the pick of the best lines for our small but experienced convoy, who rose to each challenge admirably.

As we reached our scheduled break, we were briefly joined by a group of paragliders as they passed overhead, barely skimming the tops of the dunes.

By the time we were approaching Iftar Bowl the sand was pretty chewed up from the numerous convoys that had passed before us earlier in the morning, so after a few bumpy climbs on different sides we called it a day and made our way to the exit slightly ahead of schedule.

Thanks to Allam for second lead today, and Javier & Marko for their support on what was a really fun drive.

See you on the next one,

Ryan
