Prospect Drive 4 (AI 6)

Share with your friends!

Everyone arrived on time and ready to drive. Good job! Keep your team spirit high!

This drive was training all over the place. We enter technical area as a heroes. Formation was one prospect convoy with Karen as second lead, Pradeep on the back of convoy. We had 2 senior “sweeper” supervisors, Senior Team Leader – Tiago (Redbaron) and Senior Mike (coppercon). Your support during this trip was priceless. We had 4 acting side sweepers on training as well.  The Sweepers were faced with challenge to find a route next to the convoy without following tracks, also known as side sweeping and to conduct recovery procedures per our standards under supervision.

It was quite interesting experience for everyone and conclusion is that we need some more practice and time to gain experience.

Only downside of this trip apart of my car breakdown was communication over the radio and not keeping proper safety distance.

Overall, it was full of fun and new informations. Team work is there just a need a little bit shaping and we will make nice strong team out there.

We also had one upgrade. Congrats Ammar, well deserved!!!

From today we going to add your feedback into your profile directly rather than here on report. This feedback will help you and us to get better picture and improve our driving. Please make this ratings to work for you, not against you.

Thank you firstly Tiago, Preggy and Mike for help me out with the car, and thanks everyone for being patience about that.

Please leave your comments and let us know about your experience from this trip.

Marko thank you and the gang for a very nice trip and drive. Happy to say my son Ryan loves it as well. Learned a lot and got pushed further. I’m getting used to my car more and hopefully now at Junior level my confidence with continue to grow. Looking forward to many more trips and adventures.

  6. Some invaluable lessons learnt during the recovery training today. Thanks Marko, for the comprehensive and well constructed program.
The drive was interesting and challenging since recovery trainees were instructed to drive without deflating their tires and to navigate their own course alongside the main convoy. The sand was soft which meant that the trainees got lots of recovery experience rescuing each other. If you want to know the benefits of deflating before driving in soft sand, try driving without deflating at all.
To make a challenging situation even more difficult, the sand was bright white with the sun almost directly overhead. This made it almost impossible to discern changes in elevation resulting in me nosediving into a ditch. I was never more thankful for a great suspension and skid plate. It’s just one more reminder that there’s no substitute for good old fashion experience – something I still need a lot of. Kudos to our convoy leaders who always find the safest path for their convoy- even in completely unfamiliar territory. This is a skill I wish to master when I grow up🤣
I’d like to thank my fellow trainees for their commitment to making the desert a safe place for all Fellas – and the leadership for a well structured training course. The lessons learnt today extend way beyond the club – they are life skills for which I’m truly grateful🙏🏼

  7. Great trip. I learn something new on every drive!! Thanks for the pointers, corrections, and feedback!

  8. It was a looong day. Being briefed on recovery training for few hours and then side sweeping new territory by ourselves without any GPS just a wingman. Many stucks without deflating tires and eventually had to deflate to swim in the sand. Being a sweeper ain’t no joke and i learnt it the hard way scouting the dunes with just a hunch. Thanks for the opportunity to push it to the next level fellas. It was a great learning curve for me and hope to enhance the basics of sweeping the near future.
