Basic training 3
Basic training 3 drive is a big drive so this morning was an earlier start.
The morning starts with one of many exercises, the first one is to test if our equipment is up to scratch and with quick hands we had our selves ready for the briefing. The warm-up session had many recoveries and second tries and our support team also had the opportunity to rescue some locals that got them selves in bit of a tricky situation.
Reaching our main training area our team got stuck into 3 different lessons on getting to know more about car control and saftey maneuvers on bigger dunes. Once done it was time to take a quick breather before picking up the challanges and pace towards the ill-famed eggbox area for more low range driving.
Making good time and navigating well through the these little devil it was time to shift gears and make our engines roar. Trainees were pushing hard and taking some lines they would not even dare to approach just a few drives before. Trianing is coming together nicely and we can already see real skills starting to build. Congratulations team, a long and demanding lesson completed with all objectives, fantastic job. You now have strong foundations to make next week’s lesson even better and finish stronger.
A big thank tou to our supporting Hussam, Zoubeir , Sven and Anders team, great recoveries and sweeping. See you all on the sand next week.

I was super happy seeing the progress you all made though I only missed one week, great to see how 1 week makes such a big difference which means you guys are doing great and that the training structure is coming solid!
Fantastic efforts, great support from Sven and Anders today and obviously great leadership as always from Marshal Marc, see you on the sand!
Winter trips are great. Couple that with the crossing starting from Al Faqaa – which has always been one of my favorite areas – is pure bliss! Al Faqaa opens up into a majestic vastness of sands and the dunes are so well suited for a well-rounded drive. The brisk morning chill had me keep my jacket for much longer than I thought I would.
Trainees are starting to enjoy themselves and seeing (almost) everyone on time shows commitment.
All the best until graduation; it’s going to be one great journey to remember 🙂
Thank you Chef Marc and fellow support team!
