Chebab is an emirati version of the pancakes. It is very similar to pancakes with a slight difference in thickness as well as in the addition of yeast, cardamom and turmeric to the dough.
EQUIPMENT
Non-stick Frying Pan
Bowl
Whisker
Spoon measures
INGREDIENTS
600ml warm water
2 whole eggs
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp cardamom powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
5 tbs sugar
1/4 tbs instant yeast
500g flour
1 tbs oilSpreadable cheese
Honey
INSTRUCTIONS
Add your warm water, eggs, salt, spices, sugar and yeast to a bowl and mix well.
Let its rest covered for 20min to activate the yeast.
Add the flour and oil then whisk together to make a smooth dough. If to thick add a touch more water. If to thin add a bit more flour.
Heat a non stick pan and prepare the pancakes. Finish with some cheese, fold in half and drizzle with some honey
