Basic Training 1

Off to a slightly late start this morning due to a late arrival, but with some team work we had him deflated quickly.

As a beautiful sun rise as a backdrop, a quick recap, safety briefing and days objective were discussed. Warm up went quite smooth even though we had a few stucks and second tries the flow was smooth and pace was good and by the time the convoy came to the larger dunes they were all warmed up and side slopping with confidence.

After a quick break and some banter it was time to venture into a more technical area for their first taste. this area was easily managed before moving to even larger dunes than before with technical bits. here we had a few second tries and a stuck, radio communication was big thing to work on as we could spot some big gaps in this discipline. the pace did pick up and we did see some excellent improvement on this first lesson.

After spending a good amount of time working and gaining experience on side slopes, our convoy made our way back, hitting the technical dunes and a good, strong finish with some epic side slopping before reaching our exit on time.

I’m very happy with this batch of trainees performance today, they managed most discipline spot on and now we have some good development goals to work on for the next.

Thank you Hayssam for 2nd lead today and Hussam our sweeper for keep the the convoy safe. See you all on the sand soon.
