Today’s convoy was a small one. But small didn’t mean less fun or less drive – for that matter.

The drive started in a technical area consisting of  small tightly packed dunes – with plenty of opportunities for straight cresting and quick switches. The agility of the small convoy was evident in the good pace that was maintained through the technical area.

As the drive progressed, the small technical dunes gave way  to larger dunes that were arranged in long parallel rows. The Fellas spent the rest of the drive side sloping, cresting and weaving through chains of dunes with gently sloping windward slopes and extremely steep and soft leeward slopes.

Typically, the pace and flow on such dune formations would have been  exhilarating, but the increased vegetation in this area made the ride rather bumpy and difficult to achieve a higher pace. Nevertheless, the convoy covered a distance of just over 60 km with the drive finishing on schedule and just in time to catch a beautiful sunset.

Thanks Expert Marc for sweeping and keeping the convoy tight. Hussam was given the opportunity to act as second lead on today’s trip and did a great job. We look forward to seeing him develop his skills in this role.

Nice planning for the trip and magnificent lines were drawn by the artist 😉

The rope wasn’t even pulled once, team spirit was sky high.

It is always a pleasure driving with you Preggy, Chef Marc, Rathica and Zoubier.

Thanks for the opportunity as well, I had a blast!

  2. It was a very successful drive. It felt refreshing to discover new grounds, away from the familiar, yet favourite, Pink Rock.
We were served with nice bit of technical for warm up followed by some pacey slopes, crests and switches. The beauty of the area was stunning, especially while the sun was going down.
Team spirit and mutual understanding was at its peak. I had a great time.
Thanks Preggy for drawing such nice lines; Hussam did a good job; I always enjoy following Rathica’s roaring Jeep. Chef Marc was there to keep us in check. All in all, it was a very enjoyable and successful Friday evening. Thanks everyone for your time!

    1. You displayed a lot more control of your car on this trip and were able to adjust your trottle in response to the challenges and changing terrain. Just avoid tunnel vision- where you can get so focused on the track that you don’t notice the car in front of you 🙂
      Overall, a really good performance.

      1. i will definitely pay more attention in avoiding tunnel vision on the next one. thanks for the feedback 😎
